Nurturing children

More than just a school

"The teachers at SMHS are like my parents. They understand the challenges we face so teach,
help and guide us with a lot of love and patience. The school's many extracurricular activities
help develop our confidence and the school trips provide us with an opportunity to enjoy and
learn at the same time. "

Shazina

I was happy to have the Homework Club and Summer Camp. They helped me get the top exam results in SMHS so far. I want to be a Doctor so I've enrolled on a Pre-Medicine course.  I'm very grateful to SMHS.

Empowering Girls

“There are two powers in the world; one is the sword and the other is the pen. There is a great rivalry and competition between the two. There is a third power, stronger than the two; that of the women”

“My name is Noor Saleem.

I joined the Nursery class and have been studying in the Swiss Model High School since 2012. My father is a tailor and my mother works as a maid.

I love my school as it has given me many opportunities to grow and develop myself. I like to participate in all the extracurricular activities, such as the debates and sports day.

Thank you, this is all because of you.”

The teachers cultivate a community approach which means they see first hand the home environment each child comes from.  An undernourished child will have little energy to play, let alone to learn. Our approach is to address the basics by providing one healthy meal for the most deserving children.

Whilst we aim to ensure every child reaches their full potential academically, they are also taught that they can be successful in many different ways. This could be anything.

Approximately 50% of Pakistan is illiterate. Your donations transform future generations into literate adults equipped to create a better future

Healthy Body, Healthy Mind

All children come from underprivileged backgrounds and many cannot afford even one healthy meal a day.  With your help we can provide a nourishing meal as well as teach the children what foods are important for health. The Healthy Food Programme provides nourishment so that the children can learn and flourish.

Simple, Just have breakfast

Seeing some children come to school hungry, the school introduced a Breakfast club in 2015.

Fuelled up on healthy food such as fruit and milk, these poorest of the poor children now have the energy to learn & play.  For some, this breakfast will be their only meal of the day.

Medical Camps: Healthy Children are Happy Children

Recognising that our children cannot afford even basic health care, we have organised regular health checkups for all the children.  In special circumstances, we also offer to cover the medical costs of treatment.

At our Medical Camps, volunteer Health Care Professionals, such as Doctors, Dentists and Opticians, assess & treat each child.
