We found a solution to offer girls the possibility to remain at the SMHS past compulsory school and through to the end of high school. We received a generous donation from an estate, and our landlord allowed us to build additional classrooms on top of the school (under the guidance of certified architects and with planning permission). The initial classes from 6-8 began in April 2025. Classes 9-10 will be added with the new school year in April, 2026.

It is quite important for girls to have an affordable option to attend a local high school school. Anything that might be perceived as an obstacle to an impoverished family, means that the girls will be likely kept at home.

Now, they have that option again via the SMHS and SEPP!
