The School

More than just a school

"The teachers at SMHS are like my parents. They understand the challenges we face so teach,
help and guide us with a lot of love and patience. The school's many extracurricular activities
help develop our confidence and the school trips provide us with an opportunity to enjoy and
learn at the same time. "

I was happy to have the Homework Club and Summer Camp. They helped me get the top exam results in SMHS so far. I want to be a Doctor so I've enrolled on a Pre-Medicine course.  I'm very grateful to SMHS.

Empowering Girls

“There are two powers in the world; one is the sword and the other is the pen. There is a great rivalry and competition between the two. There is a third power, stronger than the two; that of the women”

“My name is Noor Saleem.

I joined the Nursery class and have been studying in the Swiss Model High School since 2012. My father is a tailor and my mother works as a maid.

I love my school as it has given me many opportunities to grow and develop myself. I like to participate in all the extracurricular activities, such as the debates and sports day.

Thank you, this is all because of you.”

A multi-faith School

_N3A5828 (1)

We are a school of the community. We support the poorest families to send their children to school, particularly girls who otherwise have limited opportunities. We currently have 120 boys & 110 girls.

With 160 Christian & 70 Muslim students, we are showing the next generation how to live together in harmony. Our staff & children take pleasure in celebrating each other’s colourful festivals.

Established in 1997, the school has gone from strength to strength.  Situated in Kotlakpat, in the region of Lahore, 230 motivated and happy girls and boys attend our school.  The 4-18 year old students attend the school six days a week.

Even though education is compulsory, there are too few public schools and families cannot afford the costs of the private schools. Faced with little or no options, these children enter the working world prematurely. The SMHS offers a solution for boys and girls to break this cycle as well as a feasible alternative to the very popular, free Koranic schools, which are usually reserved for boys
